Directions
- Set oven to 425°. In a large mixing bowl mix Sugar & Flour.
- In a medium saucepan heat Shortening, Butter, Water, & Cocoa.
- Bring to boil, then pour into Flour/Sugar mix.
- Mix at medium speed (KitchenAid), and add Buttermilk, Baking soda, Eggs, Vanilla, & Salt.
- Pour into greased 10x15x2 pan. Bake for 18 min.
- 5 min prior to cake being done, make frosting.
- In a saucepan bring Butter, Cocoa, & Milk to a rapid boil and pour over Powdered Sugar in Mixing bowl.
- Add Vanilla and mix.
- Pour over hot cake as soon as it comes out of the oven. Let cool.
- Cut Cake and Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream and Hot Fudge
